Check Your Coverage!
I am working with The Lactation Network (TLN) and Wildflower. If you have United Healthcare or Aetna, check your coverage through the TLN button. If you have Cigna, click on the Wildflower button.
-
If you don’t have insurance through one of the companies listed, that’s ok! I offer self-pay options and can provide you with a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company to see if they will reimburse you for your lactation visit.
-
I believe everyone should have access to the help they need. If you’re without insurance, please contact me so we can discuss self-pay options that work for you.
-
The Lactation Network and Wildflower are third party organizations that work with insurance companies to help you access covered lactation care. They serve as the contact point for insurance eligibility, coverage, and billing questions related to your lactation visits.
-
Your insurance company can tell you what lactation benefits are included in your plan, including how many visits are covered and whether you have a copay or other out-of-pocket costs. If your insurance works with TLN or Wildflower, they can also help you understand your benefits and coverage.
-
This depends on your individual insurance plan. Your insurance company, TLN, or Wildflower can help you understand whether you have a copay, deductible, coinsurance, or other out-of-pocket costs. If your insurance does not cover lactation care, I also offer self-pay options.
-
No referral is required to schedule a lactation consultation. However, I am happy to work with your physician or other healthcare provider if they recommend lactation support as part of your care.
-
If you have more than one insurance plan, your insurance company can help you determine which plan is primary and how your benefits work together. You’re also welcome to contact TLN or Wildflower if they work with your insurance plan.
-
Your insurance company is a great place to start! If your plan works with TLN or Wildflower, they can also answer questions about your eligibility, benefits, and billing. I’m always happy to help you figure out who to contact if you’re not sure where to start.
